One-on-One, Handbuilding Lesson with Anthony Urango, you can pick a day and time, instead of waiting for a set day and time class

Take a class on your own, with your partner or a group of friends with AHP founder Anthony Urango. 

When thinking of pottery, spinning clay on a wheel is what first comes to mind for many - however, there are a multitude of reasons not to overlook handbuilding. Handbuilding gives almost unlimited options when it comes to what shapes you can create, making it the first choice for a variety of professional ceramic artists and creatives. Whether you want to create a symmetric vase, functional pipe or a one of a kind sculpture, handbuilding can take you there. 

There's also great variety in ways to handbuild, which makes handbuilding a great option for those who loves the idea of creating pottery, but may struggle with the strength typically required to throw pots on the wheel. In other words, handbuilding offers a lot of flexibility that can be adjusted to your creative preferences and/or the abilities of your body. No matter your experience level, Anthony will help guide you through a project suited to your skill-level and goals. Choosing your own project allows you a lot of freedom while also learning crucial techniques (applicable to your level and goals) and building a foundation in handbuilding techniques. In the end of your class, you get to pick out glazes (colors) for your project - and a few weeks after your class is completed, your pot will be fired, glazed and ready for pick up.

Each class lasts 2 hours and costs 75 usd/person. In that class price, the following items are included:

- 2 hs session

- 2 x 1.5 pound balls of clay

- Demonstration in handbuilding techniques

- pick your choice of glazes
